Who We Are
Spawn to Grow operates Australia's largest mycelium material manufacturing hub, purpose-built with ISO 6 clean rooms and incubation facilities. From our lab in Alphington we valorise biomass — turning agricultural by-products into living, workable material through state-of-the-art mycelial cultivation.
Manufacturing
We design and manufacture custom mycelium biocomposites — cast-moulded and additively manufactured to specification. Our materials are 100% bioderived and biodegradable, non-toxic, and deliver more than four times the thermal insulation of petrochemical-based neoprene.
For Researchers
We supply technical grade grain spawn to researchers across academia and industry. Every batch is produced in our ISO 6 clean rooms for consistency, purity and reliable colonisation — ready for your substrate, your study, or your next material.
Products
From Wonky Pots to Mushy Snug stubby holders, our range is grown from mycelium and plant fibre. Each piece has a working life of one to five-plus years and composts at end of life — proof that everyday objects can be cultivated, not extracted.
